June 19th is an important holiday in United States history as we commemorate and celebrate the final and full emancipation of enslaved Americans. As we marked Juneteenth last year, the United States was in the middle of not only a global health and economic crisis, but also a social crisis on issues surrounding race and justice.
As we observe Juneteenth in the United States one year later, we still have work to do. The Online Lenders Alliance reasserts its commitment to keep moving forward on the responsibility to recognize and rectify injustice. We hope that all citizens can use this day to educate themselves on its history, consider what they can do to advance justice, and find ways to extend their commitments throughout the year.
